Chur to host the Tour de Suisse and the Bike Kingdom E-Bike Festival
With its picturesque backdrop and excellent infrastructure, Chur offers ideal conditions for a thrilling stage start. The Bike Kingdom E-Bike Festival will also take place in Chur on June 20 and 21. Visitors can test the latest e-bikes and explore the region on two wheels right next to the Brambrüeschbahn cable car and the Tour de Suisse start area. A weekend dedicated to cycling awaits spectators in Chur.

Chur – The Tour de Suisse meets the Bike Kingdom E-Bike Festival
On 20 and 21 June 2025, Chur will be all about cycling. On Friday 20 June, the sixth stage of the Tour de Suisse will start, while the Bike Kingdom E-Bike Festival will take place at the same time in the Stadthallen area. Visitors will have the opportunity to try out the latest e-bike trends, watch the preparations of the TdS cycling pros and cheer them on at the start.

From Chur railway station to the starting area of the Tour de Suisse:
The railway station is centrally located. The Stadthallen area (Festival Village/starting area) is easily accessible on foot and by city bus.
On foot:
Walking time: approx. 8 – 15 minutes

via Engadinerstrasse – Welschdörfli – Kasernenstrasse – Stadthallenareal
through the old town via Bahnhofstrasse – Poststrasse – Obertor – Welschdörfli – Kasernenstrasse – Stadthallenareal
By city bus (subject to a charge):
Line 1 direction ‘Brambrüeschbahn’
Departure: Chur bus station (directly in front of the railway station)
Exit: ‘Stadthalle’ bus stop
Travel time: approx. 3 minutes
NOTE ON RESTRICTIONS
Attention: Approx. 30 minutes before the start, the access to the bus stop ‘Stadthalle’ will be closed.
Alternative with line 2 direction ‘Obere Au’
Get off at the ‘Rätusstrasse’ stop. From there walk via Sägenstrasse to the Stadthalle area. Walking time approx. 5 minutes.
Car parking in the old town and city centre:
The car parking in the old town and city centre are 5 to 10 minutes’ walk from the festival site (car parks: Lindenquai, Arcas, Stadtbaumgarten, City – costs approx. CHF 1.80/hour)
Recommended route: Chur Nord motorway exit
Obere Au car parking:
The Obere Au car park is located directly at the Chur Süd motorway exit. The car park charges Fr. 1.00/hour, whereby the first hour is free of charge.
From the car park, you can take the city bus line 2 in the direction of Fürstenwald / Kleinwaldegg (subject to a charge) to the ‘Rätusstrasse’ stop. From there it is approx. 5 minutes on foot via Sägenstrasse to the Stadthalle area.
Alternatively, the Stadthalle can also be reached on foot in approx. 20 to 30 minutes.
Bike parking
Bicycle parking spaces are available in the Festival Village on the Stadthalle site and at the valley station of the Brambrüesch cable car.
